Courses

The courses offered by Family Enrichment make use of the case-study method, which is commonly found in business- and law-school classrooms.  The case studies center the discussion of each class on real situations with which participants can identify.  They are rich in complex family situations that help bring to the forefront varies aspects within the life of the family that are essential for proper, productive relationships among family members: husband and wife, parents and children, sibling relationships, immediate family with extended family and friends.

Throughout the course, participants will learn the case-study method and how to apply it to family life.

While the case studies are instructive, it is the wisdom brought to bear on them from the experience of the participating couples, crystallized in the general session by a professional moderator, that often provides the greatest insights.

The following is a list of courses currently offered by Saint Louis Family Enrichment.

One of the purposes of early education is to turn all the situations of the family life into amazing moments of learning.  Many studies show that adequate early stimulation is the most efficient tool to obtain a complete personal development, in the field of intelligence, psychomotor activity and behavior.

Children between 4 and 7 years old start to develop their personality and reach the age of reason. This stage requires much individualized attention from parents. The course will help parents reconcile a unique upbringing with the influence of friends and family. It is now time to introduce to children the family style that each marriage creates and help channel their behavior on the basis of the human virtues.

Family Enrichment, through its case study method based courses, has provided for many years solid support and guidance for parents in their task of raising a family. This course aims to apply that same methodology to help young adult professionals contemplating marriage. Young adults find themselves making very important decisions that will affect the rest of their lives, and more often than not, in an environment that is not necessarily family-friendly. Through this course, participants will discuss essential criteria and acquire necessary knowledge to more confidently make these important decisions.

Topics to be covered include developing a healthy work-life balance, finding the right person to marry, and making the transition from single life to married life, with an emphasis on how to succeed in marriage through virtues.
